Tika trigger

I’m assuming you don’t have a trigger pull gauge ? 4 ounces is extremely light and even with trigger spring changes I haven’t gotten one that low.

Did the rifle come from a previous owner or was it new from the store?

Tikka single stage triggers are some of the best on the market like others (I have three different Tikka rifles.) they are adjustable you just have to take the rifle stock off to get to the Allen bolt.

Also tikka does make a 2 stage trigger in a few select models both right and left hand. A buddy has one and he loves it! You could always try to find one on the used market.

I’ve had aftermarket from Timney and triggertech on other rifles but still prefer my tikka triggers as they work for me!

I have a tikka supervarmint in 7mm Rem with the tikka set trigger. SWEET!

If you want a different trigger than what the stock version of a Tikka comes with, such as a two stage or a set trigger, Stoeger keeps them, may be worth a call if you are ordering a new gun, to see what a swapout is worth. Their triggers were under 300.00 last time I inquired, probably 3-4 yrs ago, I asked about a two stage, they had them in stock. I put Yo Dave springs in mine, have a std and a two stage, I really like their two stage with those springs.

A friend bought a Tika hunting rifle. I was surprised by the trigger, it is a single stage at about 4 ounces, that's my guess. For the $$ I would expect a two stage adjustable trigger. Another friend also has a Tika and installed a timney drop in trigger group. I'm curious as to what kind of trigger you prefer, a two stage adjustable, or single stage no adjustment factory set. Thanks
Better get a trigger pull gauge and check your FACTs - 4 oz is impossible ! RJ

The factory triggers on the Tikkas are excellent out of the box and mine required no adjustment at all. My Remington triggers however have mostly all been replaced or had a trigger job done on them at some point.

Triggers are something Tikka does well.

Set trigger is probably what he has on there, that is an option on Tikka, and Stoeger likely has them in stock. What they go down to, no idea, but, Europeans aren't as inhibited about them as US is. My K-gun is down in that zone on the front trigger, as it has the set trigger, it is a bit scary.
