Hey guys
I recently welcomed a new gun to the family! A tikka t1x in a .17 and I want to install a picatinny rail but not sure what rail to put on, 0 or 20 or ??. I will basically be using it for prairie dogs and such. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great, thanks!

I just went through this dilemma - I decided to go with a 25MOA rail on my CZ .22. I have enough adjustment in my scope to still 0 at 25m for indoor shooting, or if I decide to shoot longer distances outside, I can 0 at 300+. I figured that with the canted rail I wasn’t giving anything up and gaining some extra distance if the need arises so that’s why I went that way.

Personally, by time a bullet is dropping 10 inches every 25 yards, I switch to another cartridge. I don't really see the usefullness of a 20MOA for a 17. Actually, I guess there's no downside either.
