I checked out a few tikka 3 rifles in my local sports store and saw pics online and on the tikka website, they all had that tikka logo on the stock, at the bottom of the grip but my newly acquired SS hunter does not!

Now I couldn't care less about this logo but it makes me wonder, did I purchase an old rifle? Could this stainless steel model be from the batch of rifles with faulty steel? does anyone know why it doesn't have the logo?

p.s, I love that trigger:D

I just checked both of mine. One is a t3 lite and the other is a varmint. They both have the logo. Looks like the cap just snaps in place. Does yours look like it is missing the cap?

That's what I was thinking (the cap fell out).
Old or new, it doesn't matter as long as the barrel has rifling in it--- adjust the trigger to a perfect 3 lb break, shoot it and you'll forget about the missing logo. :D

if your worried about it e-mail the serial number to Beretta and see if it's part of the faulty batch, they should have a customer support contact on their web site.

I have a Tikka T3 Lite S.S. in .243, I read the reports on the faulty ones and did worry a bit. The serial numbers (according to the internet) were in the
2XX,### range. I emailed our Canadian distributor (STOEGER CANADA) with my S/N. They said all the affected rifles had been found and returned to the factory.

I have a T3 Deluxe .223, and it has the silver logo on the bottom of the pistol grip. Wish it didn't, since it's kinda garish on an otherwise nice piece of wood !!
