Anyone else pissed that Tikka doesn’t chamber the T3x in 7x57.

You’d have to set it back quite a ways, the 08 is fatter and has a thicker neck
I was thinking of having a new 7x57 barrel spun onto a CZ 557 I had, but I ended up finding a NIB Ruger M77 7x57 tang safety and that was a real score. I would say, if you like to reload, go for it. A modern, strong action has its advantages, and you can really squeeze the potential out of a 7x57 to well exceed any 7mm-08. Brass is readily available and there's a number of powders that work well, including Varget.
The Mauser M18 now has the 7x57 listed but it's unclear if that will be a Euro only option.
7X64 Brenneke is an excellent cartridge... go for that.
7x57 doesn’t belong in a plastic fantastic rifle. I’d be much more enthused if Winchester chambered a 7x57 in the model 70 more than every 30 years. Or a CZ, an M77, a Zastava maybe, heck even a Wood and blued rem 700. But not a salvage or a tikka.
