Tikka Accuracy concerns

Thanks for all the feedback I removed the stock set it back in retorqued the bolts. Removed my scoped checked for loose attaching hardware put the rail back on clean, checked rings assembled the rifle. Picked up some Match Grade ammo, headed to the range this weekend I will post my findings. Thanks for all of the comments

I also had success with the cheap Federal Power Shok blue box, for factory loads. Handloads generally shot as well or better. Remington Core Lokt was the worst, damn thing was like a shotgun at 100 yds..

It'd be worth bringing another scope in rings, if you're able and have a Pic rail. Easy to switch out and double check your existing scope, if the rifle still doesn't shoot satisfactorily. Scopes are often the weak link, IME.

Update.

I did all of the items mentioned
Removed action from the stock, reinstall and set barrel against stock lug and torque incrementaly up to 45 in/lb
Removed scope clean surface between mounts installed rail torque to spec install scope torque rings and ring to rail nuts
Used same ammo along with handloads set at 2.800 OCL.
Ten of which were loaded using Ojiv measures

Thes five rds made my fear go away 168 Hornady BTHP Lapua brass IMR 4895

Thanks for all the help folks. Have a great day

Perfect! That’s awesome that you got it all sorted out.

check your action screws I took mine apart one time after a rainy hunt and when I put it back together I didnt tighten the screws to spec. and I could throw the rounds down range by hand with more accuracy

Don't be disappointed. You might need to fire it a bit to smooth out the barrel which will give you consistent
friction and therefore consistent velocity, which will result in better accuracy. Mine shot a clove leaf with a
quick and dirty load with 175 Sierra. It might also not like your ammo, if it stays that way.
Tikka are known to be very accurate.

Best of Luck

Check if your recoil lug is aluminum or steel. Mine was aluminium and it had been damaged when I put together the rifle in correctly. I swapped it to steel and the groups tightened up substantially. Also play with the action screw torque
