Tikka ace target

Have had mine (6.5CM) for a few months now.

It's a Tikka. Shoots very very well. Trigger doesn't need replacing. Fairly good amount of accessories now available in Canada.

You can't build one with the same quality for anywhere near the price of the Tikka IMHO.

I have not had any issues and did not expect any. Optional weights are very expensive.

Agree with everything Paul has said. As for weight, I just bought brass bar stock off amazon and made my own. Can post a picture if your interested.

It's been a joy to use and maintain. Hand loading for it has been pretty straightforward too, not seeing a ton of cartridges and loads it doesn't like. A few it really likes. I haven't added any weights to mine.

Like others, I was surprised at the costs of the Tikka weights, or, to be frank, all the Tikka accessories, but I like that that so many T3x parts are available. I had a replacement/backup firing pin in hand next day from Stoeger.

Here is a picture, this is on another gun I just put togeather but it is the same as my tikka, it's nothing fancy but it works.
Search amazon for usamily brass flat stock 3/8"x1"x6" it is the perfect size for the tikka. I also bought mloks off amazon and some longer screws so the would sit flush.

Works great on the Ace, thanks very much for the tip. $75 for 2 pieces of brass and 4 real m-loks and 5/8"screws gained me 1.3 pounds. The 200 gram Tikka set from Stoeger is now $205 ffs

With the 200 gram set behind the brass stock the balance point is about 1-1/2" ahead of the magwell about where the QD mount hole is. Total weight of the rifle is now 14.8 pounds. Waiting to shoot it again to see how much of a difference it makes. I'm guessing fair bit.

Also, the brass is sized such that it does not interfere with the ARCA rail or anything you would mount to it. I fired it in my mill drill and chamfered all the sharp edges.

My shooting buddy just bought the Tikka T3X Ace Target to compete against my Howa M1500 APC.

Is his Tikka better than my Howa? That's debatable, but I spent $1000 less for my Howa that lets me get a bunch of upgrades and better glass.

Regardless, it is a good rifle, and it is going to be interesting for us to compete against each other. We are both eagerly awaiting the results.
