Hey Guys

So I am pretty much a old man when it comes to hunting rifles, I like a set of irons. Meaning finding a hunting rifle has been a moderate challenge. Then I saw the t3x Battue, but someone was telling me the sights are cheap plastic gimmicks! Does anyone have one? Can you elaborate a bit on quality and everything including sights?

Thanks!

i had the 695 battue in 300 win mag so the one with no green and red infos on the sights. it was working great. i cant comment on the new on and the best is to handle one to see how you like it and how it will work for your eyes. there is a plastic part that will worry me more on the t3 ... the one that hold the safety.

I had a t3 Battue and the sights were excellent, they are made of finer optics and pretty tough all considering

I have a 30-06 battue t3x, rifle comes up nice and the irons are great. They aren't cheap plastic at all, solid metal and the fibre optics are a great addition.

This is great news I was worried they were just plastic! I may order one very soon in 30-06, as much as I like older rifles, some guys want more money then new ones hahah

I have the T3 Battue in 30-06 with the factory oiled walnut stock... if you like traditional, get the wood stocked one. This is my second Battue and 4th Tikka T3 and I believe they're simply the best modern hunting rifle you will find for under $2000. Light, smooth action, handy to carry in the sticks (20" inch barrel), and clover leaf groups. The metal sights are anything but cheap! Try costing those parts from Stoeger... you're talking hundreds dollars.

I have a t3x battue .308. The sights are awesome. They are different for sure, but nothing cheap or gimmicky about them. They aren't plastic, I think aluminum. Very effective to use, far more visible than other sights. Lots of rifles in Europe use this kind of sight (Browning, Benelli, Sauer, etc). In the outdoors, even in low light conditions they are highly visible. I use them in conjunction with a quick detach 1-4 power scope. The idea is 1-50m I'm using the opens (sitting in thick bush, doggin, etc.) and 50m + I put the scope on. Try em out!!

DTM5, I just bought the exact rifle yesterday, already have the same scope, and just ordered the mount. It should be one slick rig once set up, those irons are sweet, and I already love that scope. My question to you, and others with the same mount is: How noticeable is it that the scope is slightly offset to the left, or do you even notice it?
