Hey guys
I just picked up a battue with the type of trigger that you push forward and it turns to a hair trigger (not sure the exact name for it).

Anyone ever seen this on a battue!?

A "Double Set" trigger is two distinct triggers. Pull the back to set, then the front one to fire. Or fire the front trigger without setting it, but at a much higher weight of pull. What you have is a single set trigger. More common on the Tikkas in Europe, not as popular here, so not many are imported in that configuration. I like single set triggers. Have them on a few rifles.

I saw one for sale new a while back that I almost bought but got a Ruger no1 instead! I really like the tikka batue, a great rifle imo and even more in 9.3x62 and even more with a single set trigger!!

Good for you!!

I've never seen one, but I've read about them/seen them on the Sako site. I'll echo what was said above - sounds like a winner.

OP: A real unicorn. Keep it close to your pillow and go buy a lottery ticket.
