Like a lot of people I wasn't happy with the plastic bolt shroud on my t3. I tried contacting the guy on here that makes them but never got a reply and I think his are aluminum.

I did some searching online and I found a fellow in Norway that makes stainless steel shroud in either silver or black finish. Well after a few weeks I got them yesterday.

The silver one fits perfect color wise to the receiver.

He's a very nice guy, speaks perfect english and it was no problem at all the ship them here. Came in a bubble envelope right to my mailbox. I will give you his contact info if you PM me. Not sure I can post it since he's not a dealer.

P.S. Price was $58 for the shroud and $8 for shipping.

Hey: Mine are on there way as well,found him on Flea Bay,i also found a company here in Canada that has the HSS tactical bolt knobs!!These are made in Australia by Hinterland supply all aluminum
 
What's the matter with the plastic one?

Not trolling, just wondering. I've got a T3 Hunter and if the upgrade is more than just cosmetic, I'd consider it.

Well, as far as i know, one of the purpose of a blot shroud is protect your face if a primer blows and some of the pressure goes back thru the bolt. I don't know if the pressure would ever be strong enough to go through the plastic shroud, but still feel more comfortable with a metal one.
 
Quite a number of those plastic shrouds end up broken.
The metal one is a far better deal.
The fellow in Norway does a very nice job on these.
