Tikka M65 or Winchester Mod 70 ?

Buy'm both, go shooting and come back with a report.
You can always EE the nasty one.
And $600 for an M65 isn't a slouch of a deal one would
not consider if it's in any shape.
You can always find another Winchester...........right?

1981 manufactured
of course, the best option would be to buy them both but unfortunately, I don't have that budget. I think I will go with the Winchester since I already have a Tikka in my safe. Will post pics once I get them

thanks for you inputs guys. Much appreciated

You are clearly confused...

Am I? I based my choice off a 65 battue that will be mine one day, and off my own FN model 70. There both steel and wood they both shoot great. A normal person will never wear out either one. There both excellent choices. I would just rather give up my right arm then the tikka cause of how it fits me how it shoots and how slick it is. I still like my 70 though. I dont think you will find anyone that will call either one "junk" though. It really comes down to how it fits and if you want a clip or a floor plate.

To pick these too off a shelf providing they both fit the same is a confusing head scratcher for sure. It comes down to what model and options you want, and we dont know either. I like the short battue with the fluted barrel and the best sights I have ever used and the palm swell makes it feel just about perfect. I do like the CRF of these newer FNs though, the older push feeds never really turned my crank.

There are probably a few more ring and base options out there for the 70 thats something to think about too.

I like both and have both so thats really what I recommend.

More or less one of those questions that has two right answers and the most correct anwser is diffirent for everyone. Both is the safest bet!
