Tikka M65 questions...

I have had had the 55's and 65's in every calibre. Very accurate (all less than MOA) and well built. Sorry I traded them off. Still have a 55 deluxe in 17 rem left. Very easy to handload for them, all the different bullet weights would almost print in the same place on target. Even with the short 22 inch barrels on the 65's the velocities with handloads were still right up there. If you have one keep it, if you find one in mint shape, pay the price and take it home.

I own a Tikka M65 Deluxe in 30-06 and it's a fantastic rifle. As others have said, the action is smooth and I like the shorter (22") barrel and iron sights. My rifle also came with Tikka factory quick-detach bases/rings, which are the cat's meow.

The type of rifling in my Tikka surprised me:

I was concerned that it might have been extensive bore wear, but asked about it here and have since confirmed from some other Tikka owners that it is definitely the way Tikka cut the rifling:

I really like the rifle and now I'm kicking myself for not having bought the 25-06 and 7x64 Brenneke that were also available at the same time. The only thing I would change with any of them is to switch over the detachable magazine for a hinged floorplate, but that's just my personal preference.
