hey guys, my name is phil, i bought a tikka m658 in a 270 caliber. growing up my father had a win. 270. took alot of game with it and i grew up shooting it. so i desided to buy a 270 did a bunch of research on 270's. found lots of info but nothing on the m658, still can't find anything, i love the rifle, suits me well. i was just woundering if anyone knows about these m658, seems like everyone is shooting t3's or m695........or any web pages where i can learn more about my rifle.....
Reason i bought it without knowing anything was #1 great deal, paid only 600.00$, #2 i needed it real bad, season was starting very soon and no rifle...
So any info would be great.
i thank you much!

I've never heard of the model # you stated, but I have a Tikka M65 in 30-06 that I bought from one of the baord members here in June of last year. Very good rifle -- very accurate rifle. Here's a picture of that one without the scope and the first three shot group that went downrange at 100 yards.

If yours is anything like mine, you're gonna really love the thing.

Happy shooting!

M658 was one of the finest rifles you could buy, also called the Deluxe or Premier. Very high end stock, beautifully fitted fore-end cap and pistol grip cap in contrasting wood. Steel removeable clip. A heavier rifle, but gorgeous and if like mine, a 7mm Rem Mag, a tackdriver. With 3.5-10X44 Zeiss and Tikka leather sling, it weighs over 10 pounds yet still handles and balances very well. Mine doesn't look like yours at all. I'll try to find or take a couple of pics and post them when I get a chance.
