tikka magnum action

I am looking for a tikka action as I have a couple of extra barrel and A stock that I would like to utilize. Whats a good price on one ?

The action is now worth the price of what the rifle was about 10yrs ago. You'd be doing OK to find one for under $650

Seen a few for $800 which is whack. A guy can buy a used rifle for $850 these days, sell the stock and barrel and have the action for $600.

Have a &7mm mag bbl and a 300 win mag bbl. Have laminated stock

I'd sell the bbls, buy the rifle you want and have it bedded into the laminated stock. You save time, money, be happy.

you are probably correct with your analysis. Was trying to create a rifle for grandson and can see the "error" of my thinking

There is no error in your thinking or logic.
Just needed some educated information from the masses.
Now head over to the EE and start shopping for that Grandfather to Grandsons rifle you are looking for.
Hunting season is not far off and memories to be made.
