Just wondering in quality and function, what would be your thoughts on the better rifle.?
Considering the Tikka Battue Lite or CZ 550FS in 9.3x62.

I haven't heard any feed back on the Tikka in that cal. however if it's like any other tikka it will shoot very well, but the recoil is probably going to be verry punishing compared to the CZ with the heavier stock. Many people with the CZ love that rifle however it's going to be a very tough cal to get from just looking around. I have a husky in that cal and I like the look and feel of it, loads of history.

the Tikka is a mass-produced, functional, accurate modern gun sold for $200 more than rifles in its class like the Savage, with a design based on getting the most accuracy with the lowest possible production cost.

the CZ is a fine firearm based on a classic design/action and workmanship that has the potential to be just as accurate as the Tikka but in a far nicer looking gun.
the only problem with the full-stocked version is that while Mannlicher stocks are gorgeous and the CZ end cap is designed not to touch the barrel a full length stock *may* interfere with accuracy.

you are really comparing apples to oranges though, in terms of the two gun niches. if you want a really nice classic styled gun the Tikka is pretty far off the mark.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the CZ 550 medium in 9.3x62 , sub moa accuracy, not fussy and flawless functioning. Mine is not the full stock though but the european style lux. Length of pull is a little on the long side as Im 5' 9" and it could lose 3/4 of an inch with a coat on.

I called Stu at Williams arms looking for a Full stock CZ in 9.3x62, Well they are 6 months back orderd, BUT, they have an order coming in with the reg stock. That is the Distributor, London Arms.

I have a T3 Lite in 9.3x63 and the recoil, although stout, is not terrible. Think 12 gauge with slugs. I have no experience with the CZ's but from all that I have heard about them they seem to be a decent rifle. I believe they are control-feed if that is important to you. The Tikka is very light at about 6 1/4 lbs. If you are going to be carrying the rifle a long time that may be a consideration. I personally would not go with the Battue - I don't like the space-gun looking sights. Any blued Tikka can be ordered with standard iron sights if you are willing to wait. Here's mine before I put a scope on top:
