Tikka prices dropped by a $100

only if you are going by what that plastic costs the consumer -- $100-200 :)
it probably only costs the manufacturer 50 cents.

i am horrified by the anti-kitten attitudes in this thread, btw.

your Tikkas are tainted with the blood of innocent kittens.

hey, plastic is quite the commodity:
its corrosion-proof, oxidization-proof, lightweight, low-glare, mildew-resistant, impact-resistant, self-lubricating, submersible, IR invisible and most of all tacticool.

and its not 'plastic'!!:runaway:
its tactical copolymer resin. simply holding something made of tactical copolymer resin in your hands in front of the mirror or in a shopping mall imbues you with the power of the :ninja:

As the recession goes on in the US, this is the beginning of a series of price drops. The demand for firearms, jewellery, luxury cars will be the first to go down…

While we can benefit from these price drops, let’s hope the recession is not going to last long and affect the Canadian economy. If this is going to be a prolong recession, some of us will be affect adversely and we will see more guns for sale in the EE.

Don’t laugh! You may not find it that funny.

Well maybe some US companies will find it cheaper to have their firearm factories here in Canada...I know, dare to dream. :D

From the gun shops that I have spoken to they have all told me the same thing. The reason why the Tikka's have dropped in price is that they are making way for the 2008 stock. I guess the new stock is taking a while to show up (up to a period of months) so they are blowing out the old. I don't know if this is true or not, but it seemed like a logical explaination to me. I dont give a crap how it happened, all I care about is that the gun is cheaper now :)
