Tikka question

When people talk about optilocks for the tikka's... are they the same optilocks that sako uses? as in... identical?

I was looking at a tikka in the store and for some reason i remembered thinking that the rail looked different than the sako.

Optilocks come in two parts: The bases and the rings. You purchase bases for either Tikka or Sako. However, the same rings fit both bases.

Bruce,
check the Grand Slam out, they are all steel and cheap (for your Tikka, it's S61) and to me at least, they look much better than the aluminium ones, and they are more compact. http://www.weaveroptics.com/rings_bases/bases/steel_top_mount/
I use them on several hard recoilers and they simply work.

I used a set of Grand slam on my 338 WM after having my scope moving forward with my old rings. These rings are heavy duty and cheap. If you want to spend a bit more coin the Leupold PRW are top notch.

I just put a Tikka T3 308 Stainless package together, with a set of one pice Tally Ring/Base and a Leupold VX-1 the fit and finish of the Tally mounts was excellent. Bore sighted with 6 clicks to center,
