Hey guys... am looking into buy myself a tikka t3x tac a1 chambered in 6.5 creedmore to get into some long range shooting. Just curious if anyone out there shoots with this rifle and if it is worth the money? Also which scope are you using on it? Thanks for the input.

Shot a .666" 5 round group at 100 with my T3 Super Varmint .223 the other day with Hornady varmint express, the rifles shoot. Have a T3X CTR in 6.5 in the mail from cabelas too and I'm confident it will also be a shooter.

I have 2 friends that shoot the tac 1 in 260 rem, they are great shooters, but I don't think that they out shoot the CTR or the varmit for long range shooting.I think they do make a better PRS rig than the ctr and the varmit.
Just my 2 cents

I have two TIKKA Varmints one in .223 the other .308 and love both. Grear trigger feel and very accurate. They are a little heavy but good for long range. I really enjoy Tikka rifles.

Hey there... just like mild wood posted ( thanks by the way) until I get an answer. Now that I have an answer I guess I can stop asking.

I have 2 300 WM Tikkas - one wouldn't fire out of the box, had to return it (twice) and get the bolt fixed because firing pin was hanging up and not striking primer hard enough.

Both rifles seem to feed in a manner that damages the tips of rounds.

They are both tack drivers,...just a little overpriced for what you get IMHO.

The magazines are also ridiculously over priced for that little chunk of plastic if you want a spare.

I prefer my Remington DM 700s all said and done, better value/quality for the money. Note- my 700s are mid 90s models.

I have had two Tikka's in 6.5x55 SE and I now have a Tikka T3x in 6.5x55 SE and I handload for it. The Tikka's have my favorite triggers and my new one shoots inside a loonie at 100 yards with my handloads. Best rifle for me ever except for my AR build which is awesome as well with my Holosun red dot.
