Tikka superlite

Tikka superlite 22-250, fluted bolt, yodave spring, hunters edge olive w black n tan speckles, talley lightweights, Leupold vx-6 3-18x44, B&T lightweight bipod. Weighs 7lb 2oz without bipod, 7lb 10oz with it. Stock is 5oz lighter than factory synthetic.

That is a really nice setup. Do you happen to know the weights of the factory and McMillan stocks?

Factory synthetic was just about 29 ounces on my cheapie scale. Mcmillan is 23 ounces. Doesn't sound like much but feels like the world.

I like the leupold scopes the most based on their weight, if it didn't matter, I'd slap a nightforce on it. I think the VX-R 4-12x40 at 15 ounces is a LOT of scope for the weight and having illumination. I keep thinking that another 5 ounces off would be sweet. Its already a dream to carry. March makes a 5-25x42 that weighs around 18 or so ounces with illumination, but the cost is pretty high for me. Except for that one, I don't think there is a comparable scope on the market with illumination, 30mm tube, nice weight, that can beat the VX-R or the VX-6 at any cost.

We lost 3 ounces going to a McMillan Edge on a T3 but did have the stock custom painted so that could account for the few ounce difference.
