Tikka T1X Discontinued?

Silhouette is my main game. Despite the 1416 having a better trigger and grouping perhaps slightly better off the bench I score better with the Tikka. Just seems to get the rounds out when my brain expects them to.

Also I've been shooting ORPS and this gun setup for base class is running with open rifles.
 
There is a shortage. Same thing happened with .17hmr ammo at cabelas. They sold out last summer and online it said no longer available. They have stock now
 
90% of the time when cabelas and midway mark items as discontinued it's in regards to them no longer carrying it in store or in their product line up, it doesn't mean that it's been discontinued by the manufacturer, Sadly, it's their way of making you think it's no longer available anywhere so you'll buy something else they have in stock. We have a couple canadian retailers that drop their prices significantly when the item is out of stock, you'd be hard pressed to find it at that low a price, so they hope you hold off buying it until they get their stock levels back up, and that's when they jack the price back up to match everyone else.......the worst offender has an X on their company name and they specialize in reloading gear and components.......as a customer, it's your duty to be vigilant..........
 
Always important to remember that a price doesn't mean #### on an out-of-stock listing. Especially nowadays, expect an inevitable price increase if it ever does come back in stock.
