Tikka T1X MTR .22LR WAS on sale until Jan. 4, 2023

Haven't shot it yet. It's a hunter silhouette specific stock made by one guy in Washington. I tracked it down used in NC then spent a pile bringing it in.

But it's just a wood version of the existing polymer stock, nothing like the Forest stock which would be amazing. Mine should be here in a few weeks and I hope the wood is even half as nice.

Mine is in a T3 Hunter stock. I like it. Blue steel and walnut. And a little plastic..

Reading through the earlier posts, this is the rifle that OkayShooter mentioned on page 2. He's right, it shoots quite well. On par with Annie 64 sporters IMO, and not that far behind my 54.

It likes CCI SV out to 50 yds, further than that and it benefits from better ammunition like any rifle. SK Biathlon gets the nod in colder weather.

I don't think I've ever owned a rifle that was less picky about ammunition choices. Any good quality ammo (SK is my first choice for accuracy vs cost) will shoot well in the T1x in my experience.

Eley Contact was a good performer as well, but it's getting to the high end of my price range.

Not a fan eh

I haven’t handled one, yet one is coming in the mail. If it’s anything like a t3 I will be happy.

I doubt you'll be disappointed. I've had one for almost 3 yrs now, it's turned into my favourite .22 sporting rifle. Very accurate, smooth working rifle.

Yours will very likely be the 2.0 version with the ejector pin rather than the wire ejector that mine has. Both work fine in most cases.

The original stock is a bit chintzy with the lack of a rubber butt pad, but that's easily added if you want one.

If you like wood furniture, keep an eye on the EE for a take-off Hunter or Forest stock. They show up from time to time, I got mine that way. Or go the Boyd's route.
