Tikka T1X Scope Mounts

:confused:I see so many high rings, does nobody care about a good cheek weld? It’s very hard to shoot consistently without it, it’s like shooting a Mosin Nagant sniper

The only rings shown in this thread (thus far) are the ones I showed -- the Anschutz Talley rings, the only such pair I have. I posted them to show how they fit on the Tikka dovetails.

What is important to keep in mind is that ring height always depends on what's needed for the scope that will be used. The larger the objective lens, the higher the rings required. And of course if a cheek weld is desirable or necessary it is important to choose a scope that doesn't require high rings. If high rings are required then the shooter must adapt how he shoots. For some rifles a cheek weld is undesirable, for others only light is needed.

Yeah I should have been more clear, I mean what I’m seeing all over the web including rimfirecentral. Guys are installing high rings and leaving 1/2-3/4” gaps below the objective, they have no care for a cheek weld or bore to scope clearance.
