Thought i would share my Tikka T3 Lite project. (Its not very lite)

Just put on my Vortex Viper 4-16 SFP today, and took it out to the range to see how it would shoot. I shot a total of 30 rounds and took a picture of my best group. I cant remember if it was 4 or 5 rounds.. Was using Hornaday's 55g z-max zombie loads. Shooting from the bench with a bipod in the front and a rolled up sweater in the back. Im going to try out shooting prone with some sand bags in the back, see if i can tighten up my groups.

1-8 is the best twist to have. I think they offer or offered in 1-12 but not as useful with the heavies.

Nice rig and group.
Does your barrel get warm?
I had one in a regular sporting weight barrel and it got hot very quickly with frequent shooting.
Yes i have noticed that it gets hot quickly, but i haven't seen any real loss of consistency.

I bought the bottom metal and bolt knob directly from Roedale Precision in Germany, great guys to deal with.

Was about 475$ for the bottom metal and bolt knob. That includes shipping, insurance and export permit.
I think i have Weaver base and rings on there right now.
