Tikka T3 Arctic Vs No4 at 300m.

I work in northern Ontario on First Nations reserves and any of the rangers I have talked to have said yes the Tikkas are nice rifles but more of them liked the old rifles better.

Why does Colt Canada not plant to sell these rifle to Canadian Citizens
-simple answer the current governments policy to to restrict gun ownership to police and military use only part of the exorbitant cost of the rifles for the rangers must include a clause to restrict sales to 9nly government organizations.

Don't think so in this case. Apparently it was a commercial condition from Tikka in allowing Colt Canada to manufacture the rifles was that they wouldn't sell to civillians. Sounds like Tikka wanted to keep control of their design.

Scrummy

I dunno, apparently the Tikka didn't like the Winchester ammo and we only saw one group so couldn't tell much... Bit worrying the sights seemed to go so loose so fast. Wonder if a different manufacturer from the Canadian stuff?

FWIW if the problem was that it was getting hard to source parts for the No. 4, it seems like there would be easier and cheaper solutions than buying a whole new rifle, frex:

- Paying for a production run of the spare parts armourers were short of
- Buying up the Italian Navy Long Branch rifles, using the better ones for issuing and the crappier ones for parts

I think those are in the U.S. now.
