So i just pulled my T3 in 7mm Rem mag apart for a cleaning after our deer season, and i noticed the recoil lug is taking a beating. I have heard of a few companys making a steel recoil lug, are these hard on the action in anyway, or are they a good upgrade? If so, where can i get one in Canada? thanks.

How many shots have you put through your rifle? I have a t3 in 7 rem and i'm am also thinking of replacing the aluminium lug with a steel one, as well as replacing the bolt shroud for a stainless steel one if anybody knows where to find them.

He's right you can use all 4 surfaces in a pinch if you have to. I would have thought Tikka would have upgraded this faulty component by now though. D.H.

They did upgrade it. The t3x has a steel lug. As well as a steel bolt shroud. I have a t3x steel shroud on my t3
