Sorry if this is in the wrong forum and please let me no.

My question is I just bought a 300 short mag and a 22-250 both T3s however I dont know what factory load to use to get the best groupings. Could someone tell me what wieght and brand of bullets I should be using for both these guns ? Thanks in advance. Oh I dont know the twist rate.

The twist rate on your 22-250 will be 1:14" and the .300 WSM will be 1:11". It's all on the web site - http://www.tikka.fi/ Are you planning on using these rifles for punching paper only? Bench rest shooting? Long range shooting? Do you plan on hunting with them? Let us know how you intend on using them and someone can point you in the right direction. You also might want to ask your questions in the Ammo forum if you are looking to shoot factory ammo only. If you want or expect to get into reloading then there is a forum for that as well. The more details you can provide then the easier it will be for the guys to get an idea of what you hope to achieve. Ultimately, every gun will be slightly different and you'll have to do some experimenting one way or another. That's the fun of new guns - you have to shoot them often to see what they like!

I plan on using the guns for hunting , but so far I m unable to get good groups with 180gr for the short mag Win Supreme Accubond and 55gr soft points federal power shock for the 22-250. I dont plan on reloading . Thanks for your knowlege.

my 300WSM T3 took a bit to get shooting well. I found most factory loads for it were loaded quite hot. 2" plus groups were the norm with most 180gr factory loadings and even worse with some 165gr. I know ya dont want to reload but handloading 180gr Barnes TSX and 168gr Berger VLDs brought some very respectable sub 1" repeatable groups. the velecity is a bit lower than the factory loadings but the accuracy is now very good.
