Tikka T3 Lite MT 7mm-08

Tell me your experiences with theses rifles,this caliber etc please. I am strongly leaning towards selling my Vanguard 7MM RM and replacing with the Tikka. Thoughts.

Well I don't have any experience with tikka rifles but the 7mm-08 cartridge itself is great I love it and it will drop everything up to and including moose!

Not really sure you'd gain or loose that much. Less recoil in the '08 but if the recoil in the 7RM doesn't bother you, I'm not sure you'll be gaining much. The Tikka is a good, solid, light-weight rifle but I'm not sure I'd say it's heads above the Vanguard. Is there something you don't like about the Vanguard?

You'll notice quite a weight difference between the two rifles, and IIRC the vanguard has a 90 degree bolt throw, and a trapdoor magazine, while the Tikka has a 60 degree throw and a detach magazine.
If it was me, I would make that trade in a second. I'm also very keen on the caliber you're looking at and my next rifle will probably be in that caliber.
I say go for it. I love my Tikka.

I LOVE ( underscore LOVE!!) my tikka T-3 in 7-08. A pleasure to carry all day, will shoot 1/2 moa with handloads, just under 1 moa with factory loads. I topped it with a bushnell 4200 elite. very nice little rifle.

Bought my son a T3 in 7-08 a few years back. Shoots 139gn Interbonds very well. He's good for 3 bears and 3 deer so far. Nothing has run away on us yet. They aren't pretty like some rifles can be, but in the hands of a teenager, this one is has done just fine.
