I am interested in purchasing a new Tikka T3 Lite in 300 wsm. I was just wondereing if anyone knew if you can get a fluted barrel with a muzzle break for this gun ??

I cant seem to find anyone locally that knows if this is possible.

Thx any help would be appreciated

Taken directly from the spec sheet on their website:

"TIKKA T3 LITE STAINLESS is supplied without OPEN SIGHTS. Integral rails for the scope mounts are on the top of
the receiver. Receiver is also tapped to receive standard (Weaver) scope mount bases.
The free-floating, stainless steel BARREL is cold hammer-forged. Non Magnum models available also with short barrel
with thread (calibers 338 Federal, 8x57IS and 9.3x62 M15x1, other calibers M14x1) at the muzzle for muzzle brake or
suppressor assembling."

So it looks like a no go on the fluted barrel, but a yes on the muzzle break...but not for a 300WSM!

I am not recoil sensitive as I can shoot my Sako's in 30-06, 7 STW, 300 Win Mag and 338 Win Mag with no problem but friends Tikka 300 WSM in T3 Lite even with Limbsaver pad is good for only 10 shots or so and I am hurting. Fluted or not...

i highly dont recommend getting the tikka t3 lite in a 300 wsm i work at cabelas and ive had number of guys tell me it kicks like a mule
your better getting it in a .270 or a .308

I didn't notice any more kick to a Tikka T3 lite in 300 WSM than a Husky 30-06. Mind you, I think the husky -06 is the nastiest kicking -06 I have ever fired....
