Tikka T3 magazine

So I am the Happy owner of a Tikka T3 SS Lite rifle in 338 Federal - fitted it up with Tallyes and a 2.5-8 V111 Leupold Scope and a Limbsaver pad ! Now i want to seat the my bullets out further but the magazine limits the lenght so i get a long cartridge (270-30-06) lenght magazine and that solves that problem - Except for the fact the bolt will not go back far enough to pickup the cartridge now - SO there must be a different bolt stop used with long cartridges as the actions are the same lenght ! Any one ever changed there bolt stop to be able to use a long cartridge magazine with short cartridges THks for the help

I found this now too ! Tikka has a spare parts kit which comes with both short & long bolt stop releases- a pin and a spring ! If i can buy the factory part it will much easier and faster ! Cheers Jim

Try tikkashooter forum they have a store and might have what you need.

The forum doesn't have a lot of traffic but peiples appear to be pretty friendly.

How much does it cost you?

I thought its cheaper and faster ( don't have to wait ) if you just grind it down but I guess it doesn't matter as long as you can get the job done and hunting season is still a few months from now.

I won't know till tomorrow the cost $ it would be cheaper and faster to grind the orig but why destroy it when i can get this part in a couple of weeks MAX ! RJ

Well the $100.00 stayed the same BUT the timeline was a bit ? OUT ! Ordered May 27 and just got it July 10 and they had it in stock - all they had to do was put it in the mail ! GRRR ! Very POOR service from Stoeger of Canada ! Oh well ! RJ
