I had the field right, but the discipline wrong...I'm planning on Mech E too.
 
Remington mags are poorly manufactured and assembled together. The poor workmanship extends to their rifles as well.

Among all the Brownings that I have I had one bad magazine for a .243 that I returned for an exchange.

Many of you have talked about dropping magazines, loosing or sitting on one. That is not my experience. Matter of fact, I rarely remove the mag from the rifle (thanks to Browning swing open floor plate) so chances of dropping or loosing one is next to none.

I am very interested in getting a T3 or T3 Varmint. But I am not sure if I would get a second mag. Besides I don’t shoot as fast as some of you even with my semi-autos. There is always plenty of time for me to refill so I wouldn’t invest in a second mag.

Which shop ?
If the stores can include it as part of a deal (which is already a great deal),you have to wonder, is it Tikka that is chargeing a high price for the mag., or is it only a suggested retail price by Tikka and the dealers are sticking to it and there is a hugh profit margin ???

I'm a relatively new hunter ( got my licence 10 years ago) and i've never lost a magazine :)
Don't see what all the fuss is about :confused:

It is not that we loose them, it's just that it is nice to have more. Shooting at the range gets frustrating when you have to keep reloading mags. Usually I have 5 or 6 mags for every gun, but I still have only one for the tikka...which is why she doesn't get many rounds fed to her. The only thing I dislike about shooting is the time reloading your gun takes away from actually shooting.

The time to relaod your mag only takes a minute or so. When my barrel gets hot I switch to another gun. So speed shooting is never a consideration but quality shooting is, for me anyway.....:p :p :p

I have no particular beef with the price or the polymer of Tikka magazines, but I hate the single stack. I have clips in a couple of rifles and always top feed them, my son's Tikka 695 after a stalk, you have to take the clip out to reload, almost a certainty that at 17 year old with loose it sooner or later. Last fall he left it in our hotel room in the morning, I loaned him my Sako instead.
The real downside of this is he now wants a Sako.

AWESOME, don't you think----that,
The Kid is learning, SO, buy him a Sako.
He obviousley enjoys a high quality rifle.
