Go with the Savage FLCSS, they sell for around the 700.00 mark, they have the accu-stock no need to upgrade the stock, accu-trigger again no need to upgrade the trigger, floating bolt head no need to true the action, comes in stainless, and they are an accurate reliable rifle. Nothing wrong with a Tikka but for the price you get more for your money with the savage.

Not knocking Savage...good rifles with great reputation for accuracy...but I'm a fan of the T3. Just a sweet, well made rifle without useless frills that'll shoot the lights out right out of the box with decent factory ammo. And the action works smooth as butter.
For deer hunting, doesn't get any better than a 25.06, and few calibers are as good. .270 Win is better if you're going after elk, too.
For ammo, give Fusion a serious try. Very accurate in anything I've put it through, holds together, and very reasonably priced for the quality.
