Im thinking of ordering a factory laminate stock for my tikka, would it be a simple swap with my current synthetic stock? or would it have to be fitted/bedded? thanks guys
Straight swap, but have you priced one? Back when I had a couple Tikkas, Stoeger quoted me $500 + tax and shipping for a laminate, and it could take months to get.
Cheaper to sell your rifle and buy a new laminate stocked one.
i did get in contact with stoeger canada but they wouldnt give me a price, they said i had to go through a dealer which i havent done yet. i dont want to sell my tikka since it has sentimental value! shot my biggest buck with it last year!
Might be best to purchase another Tikka with the stock you want. Swap the stocks then sell the rifle you don't want or need. Brownells list the laminated stock at $ 680+.

I doubt the factory replacement stocks would be much cheaper through your local dealer so getting another rifle is likely going to be a better avenue.
