Picked one up at Cabelas in .270win couple of weeks back and was really impressed by how light it was. It has a much more matte finish on it compared to my stainless T3 I already have. It wasn't until I had the superlite side by side with it that I noticed just how different the action smoothness was. The superlite is much grittier to my dismay.

Does anyone else have a superlite to offer comparison to mine? I even find the bolt lift to have slightly more resistance when cocking.

I have one in 30-06 that I picked up in May. Action is smooth and bolt lift seems normal. I sighted it in in May with my handloads and was getting 1.5" groups. I haven't touched it since until this past Tuesday. Took it to the range and I was getting washtub size groups. Bases, rings and action screws were all tight. Think the scope(Nikon Prostaff 5) might be pooched. Bac4

I would start by giving the action and bolt a good scrubbing ,This should make a big difference on how it feels ,,,Dutch

They have a 1" group guarantee. I've tried only one load in my wife's .270 Superlite and it does this, and is just as smooth as any other T3 I have owned or tried:

@deerfarmer - finish seems the same as any other T3 I have handled. This is the only one in the safe right now so I can't do a side by side comparison.

Out of sheer luck it shot like this with the one and only load I have tried. Load development doesn't get much easier than that!
