Tikka T3 thinking of 7mm rem mag. Any opinions?

Go with the T3 but get a 270WSM instead of the 7mm Rem Mag.

I highly recommend Tikka. Unless bear would include Grizz for you, a .270win is more than enough for what you're looking to do. The good old .270 shoots flat like a 7 mag and it's cheaper to feed. Either way put a Limbsaver on it.

I vote 270Win as well. It's do anything a 7Mag will do, esp with the all the new high end bullets to choose from.

I have a T3 in 30-06.I find it accurate but recoil was an issue.Put a Sims Limbsaver on it and that did the trick.If you do buy a T3 I highly recommend the Limbsaver. Cheers Bac4

The T3s are lightweight, have a smallish stock with a crappy pad. This will exacerbate felt recoil.

I had one in 300 wsm, nice rifle but lots of recoil. Had to sell it eventually. I am seriously considering the 6.5x55 though.

I own a T3 stainless .260 and just ordered a T3 in .204 today from Epps for $649. They might be a little plasticy but they are smooth and they shoot very well. What ever cal you pick it will be awesome, but as stated before buy a limbsaver with it!

I found that the clip would not hold the bullets from smashing their tips during recoil. I know this happens somewhat with alot of rifles but I thought that this was excessive. It WAS a 300 wsm.
