How hard is it to get a replacement barrel for the Tika's? Is this something that most gunsmiths can do?

They are no more difficult to re-barrel than any other action. Any after market barrel can be mated to a Tikka. They do have a slightly smaller barrel shank diameter than most, but that is not an issue. I have a 6XC on an M55.

The stock-embedded recoil lug makes finding a selection of after-market stocks a challenge, but that has nothing to do with re-barreling.

I like the recoil system that the T3 uses and I feel it is superior to the washer lug that Rem etc use. It is not a new idea and has been used by many companies that produce a quality product.

I was looking into getting a Savage 10FP in .223 (sounds overall better than more pricy remmingtons). Now Id like to research the Tikka T3. Where would one find a Canadian distributor?
