Tikka T3

I just received a Tikka T3 and want to use a ring similar to the Leupold Sako Ring that clamps onto the action. Are they one and the same? I would like to avoid a ring base combo.

They aren't all interchangeable from Sako to Tikka. Warne makes a ringmount for the Tikka.

talley makes a nice light weigh two piece base and ring for the t3. works great.

The Sako/leupold ring will not work on a Tikka. Leupold makes a std base that screws onto the top of the Tikka receiver. Warne is a good product.

Kapeesh! I will look at Warne then. I don't want to have a base and ring on a this rifle.

Warnes on my CZ 527, IIRC the rings are the Maxima model.

i went to weaver 2 pc scope coat just fits inbetween 50 mm and barrel

I just bought the Tikka Standard ring mount, I will be mounting them sometime today, They look like they'll work well.

I have talley light weight rings/ base combo on mine with a 3-9X40 VX1. I believe they are medium height

I went with the Sako / Tikka Optilock rings and bases.

A friend has Millets holding a Leupold Vari-X III scope on his Sako m75 300WM and never had any issues...rifle was new in 1997. Personally, I dont like them, I prefer the Optilocks. Talleys would be my next choice.

I guess they only make low mounts for T3's, and they would be fine.

Some guys are using these DNZ 1 piece mounts...
