What rings and bases are you guys using on your T3's? Anyone using Sako's Optilock's? How do you like them? Does a T3 Hunter stock fit on a T3 lite? Has anyone mounted backup sights?
 
Optilocks are nice but expensive. I use Burris weaver style steel bases and Signature Zee rings.

Yes the Hunter and Lite are interchangeable

I usually buy the ones with sights already on them.
 
I use Leupold bases and rings on my Tikkas,except for my Tactical which came with a rail mounted. The Leupolds are just as strong as the Optilocks, for less than half the price.
 
Looking at buying the T3 Tikka Lite or the T3 HB Varmint, as far as i can tell the only difference is the stock and the caliber availability, heavier stock on the varmint. gets great reviews, can't wait to try it. T3 Lite .308 stainless steel.
 
I use rail mounts which fit T3 tacticals & can be bought separately with Leupold QRW on my two T3 Lite Battues. This allows me to pop the glass to use the sights. If your rifle is sightless, I'd consider Burris bases and Leupold rings.

Using Burris Xtreme 2-piece steel bases (weaver style) and Leupold PRW steel rings, and they work very well together. Another nice touch is that the torx screws for the bases and rings aren't that cheap/soft crap found with cheaper products.

What height rings are you guys using for a 40mm objective? lows? med?

My T3 is chambered in 6.5x55, what scopes are you guys using? Trying to decide between a 2-7 or a 3-9.

They shouldnt be soft for $70+
