Finally got around to uploading some pics of my new Tikka.

Tikka T3 Lite left hand 6.5x55 - bought off the EE
Burris Tactical bases - Jerry/Mystic Precision
Leupold QRW med rings - The Shooting Edge
Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 - Omer/Plainsight Solutions

This is my best group so far. I know I can do better, just have to have some more trigger time as this is my first centrefire rifle.

Yer winning there Cheezie.
Praktis makes perfect oui?

Here's another target with different loads.
It doesn't make sense until you study it a bit.

The circled group was H4831 shooting Fatso.
There are five shots in that group.
That's what I call my Mauser 98.... 6.5X55.
She's over 13 pounds.
The three in the center with two holes touching is
41 grns.
The two holes on the right are 40 grns of IMR 4350.
I have had tighter groups with this gal, but this day of
shooting was windy, rain, and a bit of a miserable day.
Fun to say the least and I got to watch H shoot.
Sorry for the hijacking there Cheezie.
Regards.
Looky.

bigbuck - Thanks.

Looky - Trying to analyze the last target. I think I can understand the vertical transformation - lower velocity=lower on the target? but then I'm going to guess that H4831 is a righty and you shoot left so there is that little pull in opposite directions? I'm guessing that because my shots(and I shot lefty remember) always land a touch right of centre? What say you?

Naw, we're both right handers.
I have a chitty right eye that plays games with me.
20/40 vision but less now in the right.
I need to shoot quick or the target gets fuzzy/blurry.
I have shot left handed and it feels really good when I pull the
trigger, but the groups are alot wider.
I was a bit disappointed with the groups, but it was a windy, rainy,
overcast day.
Still fun, but the targets suffer.
Cheers.

I know it is a decent group, I just know from the previous owner that with that load, that rifle can shoot tighter so....:D

If I can keep repeating that group, THEN I'll be happy/er :p
