Since I bought the rifle (Tikka TAC A1 6.5 CM) and scope (Khales K 624i) it sat until today when I finally had a chance to go schoosting. Of 4 guns this one was the last to shoot, because I had 3 other hunting rigs with me and wanted to dial those in...then play time.

I love this setup. Once I figured out the scope; I saw the performance coming out of the rifle. I started with a box of cheaper American Gunner ammo and then shot the 1 and only box I had of Hornady ELDX Precision Hunter.

I'm soo happy to achieve solid results in the 45min that it took me to get from fresh gun, scope and optic setup to solid groups.

I'm just pumped...cant wait to get out again - A shout out to Al Flahertys for always helping me through my obsessions and offering fantastic prices and service.

@100 Yard targets:

This last one is 10 shots comprised of 6 American Gunner rounds and 4 ELXD Hunting rounds. Ther'e's a massive difference in accuracy performance between the cheap rounds and hunting rounds.

Cheers

Oh Yea? Thanks for the tip...gonna hunt some packs down and try those next.

Thanks for the compliment.

There are lots of great options out there for 6.5 Creedmoor. If you are using factory ammo buy as many different types as you can you will find something that will really shine in your rifle.

Solid advise. I plan to buy as much as I can and figure out what she likes best ;)

Gotta admit though...for a hunting round those 5 shot groups are pretty sweet and I didn't have much time with the rifle.

Amazing brother!

Great shooting for your first range trip with that rifle! I have a Tikka Tac A1 in 308, 20" barrel and the BLK LBL bi pod, she is a real sweet shooter too, generally in the 1/2-3/4 MOA range with most loads I have tried in her. I second the shout out to Al Flaherty's, great shop and good people!

A buddy has the same rifle in 260 Rem that shoots about the same.

It says something for the Tikka brand that accuracy like that seems to be quite typical.
