Tikka Tactical 308

Anyone shooting 180 grain or 200 grain bullets out of their Tikka tactical 308's
And has anyone tried H1000 in the 308 with the same bullets. Getting one on Friday and looking for components now.

H1000 is too slow. Try IMR4064, H4895, Varget, BLC-2. Better yet for target shooting... Varget or H4895 with a 154 grain Scenar at about 2950 fps assuming with a 24-26" barrel.

Lapua 154 scenar over 45 grains of varget in Norma brass with Fed 210 primers right in the lands works awesome in my .308 rifles. Right out to 800m.

TIKATAC only has 20" tube doesnt it?? H1000 would be wayyyy to slow.

Try some 168s-175s

I have shot lots of 178 Amax's out of the guns I had. I used BL-C2 (46.5 as I recall) and I could count on .3 - .4MOA in good conditions. I could never get 168's or 155's to shoot worth a damned in them. Never tried 200 gr.

the loads for the 20 inch tubes are BLC-2 and 178 gr Amax they love that combo
Mine 46.5 grains the round are easy to chamber in the long action

No way. Single shot only.

I haven't tried them shorter, but I bet this recipe would still beat most at mag length.

I have older m595 with 1 to 11 twist it hates any thing liter that 175 cannot get any groups
