Hey CGNers

I recently built a Tikka Tactical 20" in .308. Placed a Leupold Mk4 ERT 6.5-20x50 on Leupold PRW rings. The rifle has a rail on it already for those who are not familiar.

All is good so far, but I'm not impressed with the ring choice I made. Feel I made that decision too quickly.

I'd like a few opinions on a single piece/integrated scope mount. Or something that would compliment the hardware involved. Sako Quick Mount?

No real budget. I've put plenty in to the system to skimp now. Better is better.
What I don't like about dual rings - I remounted my scope today, the bases were .6 of a degree out from each other, but the rail was not. This bothers me and causes me to lose sleep. lol

Also, does anyone know if the Leupold Alumina flip covers will work with this Scope?

Which type of ARD would suit this scope?

Trouble is, there are so many products available, that it's difficult to narrow things down.

Thanks for your opinions.

Depending on your budget, Spuhr and Near make excellent one piece scope mounts (expensive) or ADM,Vortex or Burris would be a cheaper option.

If I remember correctly, the picatinny rail on the Tikka TAC is 0 MOA. Many of the one piece scope mounts can be had with 20 MOA or more built in and will let you stretch your range out a little further before you run out of adjustment in your scope.

I have a Spuhr 13 MIL (44.4MOA) TRG mount that is a work of art, but they are about $500 after you factor in Tax and shipping.

I have purchased a couple ADM mounts from One Shot Tactical Supply and they are good quality for the money and quick detaching. These particular model of ADM mounts are intended for a flat top AR and will work on your Tikka's rail, but the scope will be a little higher than it needs to be. ADM makes a lower one piece mount and I'm sure One Shot would be able to order you one if that's what you desired.

There are quite a few other options out there, but that should give you a couple of ideas. It just depends on what your intended use for the rifle and budget.

Cheers

You may want to consider Nightforce Ultralite rings.
They feature CNC machined 7075- T6 hard anodized aluminum bodies and titanium beta series crossbolts and jaws. This unique construction provides exceptional strength, normally not found in lightweight rings. Testing has proven that this combination is actually stronger than steel.

This fits really well on Tic Tacs & makes your rifle lighter than compared to other ring mounts.

TPS make the best rings for the price period for dual rings. Always liked the look of the Nightforce unimount only in 30mm tube..

***Update***

Went with SPUHR 0 tilt single piece mount, with a couple SPUHR attachment mounts. (Burris FastFire soon)
Sniper Elite Series Picatinny rail
Alumina flip covers

next is a new stock...

would be great if the rumours came true about an AICS in a Tikka action.

well, built/put together/assembled etc etc - it wouldn't work very well out of the box...kinda needs an optic and such

I also pillared it and used cdi dbm and AI mags.
