Tikka troubles

For me, a rifle must be flawless, it must look flawless, it must work flawless, the wood and fit must be bang on, it has to shoot accurately, and it must function the way I want it to function. Life is too short to use an ugly gun!

<<<<<<< UPDATE >>>>>>>

I talked to Stoeger Canada(Tikka rep) yesterday.....apparently my magazine was Problematic, so they replaced it for me. Shipped it back out to me other day. ...I didn't recieve it yet mind you, but it's been awful hot in Ontario these past few weeks.;)...I imagine that Kannadda Post is busy trying to keep their horses watered.:D.they don't run em as hard when the humidex is wayyyy up:D...Hopefully it'll make it back next week, then I can get some loadin done for it!

Thanks for all the tips and comments folks!.:).sure seems easy here on CGN to get to the root of any problems one might have. :)...Again...ThankX!!

Well, My new mag arrived today!!.:)..Packaged in a 12"x8"x8" box...bubble wrapped...brown papered and card boarded up...WOWSERS......this thing is only as big as a pack of smokes!!!....I presume, they're also used to dealing with CPost! :D Thank You Stoeger of KAA-NAA-DA!...

I popped 3 into it...jammed it home ....FULLY OPERATIONAL...FLAWLESS PERFORMANCE..:D...10 TIMES STRAIGHT!! I also read on the packing slip that it was a 6 round magazine....so I grabbed 3 more rounds tried to put em in....TRIED EVEN HARDER.........NO EFFEN WAY!!...IT CAN'T BE!!...mine will only take 3 ????????...then I remembered someone saying that they had a prob with the follower lips....so I filed and smoothed and re-filed and re-smoothed...and PRESTO~~~ One FULLY FUNCTIONAL, FLAWLESS PERFORMING 6 ROUND MAGAZINE!!...No more Tikka Troubles!!!!!.:D...A BIG Thank YOU to all you fellow "NUTZ" out there!!:)

so after more than a month of fuss, many hours of time/frustration, shipping expense, and work filing/smoothing/re-filing/re-smoothing a replacement, you finally have an $1100-1200 rifle with a mag that functions the way its supposed to.

years ago when i pointed out that all the plastic parts on a T3 (like the bolt shroud, mag) were just cost-saving measures, the Tikka fanboys jumped all over me and claimed that they were 'high tech innovations' of 'modern tactical polymer' that was 'better than steel', and that the T3 mags were so amazing.

meh, i think ill stick with my oldskool metal hinged floorplates.
