so after more than a month of fuss, many hours of time/frustration, shipping expense, and work filing/smoothing/re-filing/re-smoothing a replacement, you finally have an $1100-1200 rifle with a mag that functions the way its supposed to.
years ago when i pointed out that all the plastic parts on a T3 (like the bolt shroud, mag) were just cost-saving measures, the Tikka fanboys jumped all over me and claimed that they were 'high tech innovations' of 'modern tactical polymer' that was 'better than steel', and that the T3 mags were so amazing.
meh, i think ill stick with my oldskool metal hinged floorplates.
