I have a Tikka UPR stock that frequently has a 308 barrelled action with the ctr/upr mags in it, as well as a .223 barrelled action with the t3x bottom “metal” with 3 round plastic tx3 mag for coyote hunting. Bit of a lego type “what will the gun be used for today” type situation.
Although I don’t think the UPR stock is the ULTIMATE precision rifle, i have come to quite like the stock and my current system of swapping in different barrelled action and bottom metals/mags.
My question is, does anyone have any experience, or see any issue, with continuing this barrelled action swap system to include magnum calibers? If I were to get (a buddies) 7mm rem mag barrelled action, would I be risking the recoil damaging the stock? I’m not expecting a definitive answer to this as its unlikely anyone has much real direct experience; but I'm interested in what people think.
Thanks everyone
Ben
