Hi there, I'm new to posting in these forums so I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong spot. I am looking for advice regarding my Tikka Varmint. It's chambered in .243 and topped with a 2.5-16 elite 6500 scope. Primary use will be coyotes and it's also gonna be my range rifle. Our range tops our at 300 yards. I'm thinking of upgrading the stock to a Boyd's pro varmint. Any experience with these?

I have the Boyds monte carlo stock on my hunting rig. And its been great,

I also have 2 Pro Varmint stocks and I like them but I would never see myself hunting with one.

Thanks for the feedback, not sure if I have a choice because of the heavy barrel on the varmint it seems like it's my only option.

might not be your cup of tea but I have used MDT's chassis to upgrade a few of my rifles, my Tikka included. They're Canadian (local for me) and their designs offer a lot of personalization/ flexibility.

Just my $0.02

Love the look of the GSR stocks $880 new though . Don't know anybody that has one to hear personal review , would like to hear what people think of them

The B&C M40 is an excellent stock for around $400. The recoil lug is built into the bedding block. Prophet River has these in stock.

I have the GRS Varmint stock on my Tikka T3 Varmint in 204Ruger. Best upgrade yet!! Adjustable in LOP and has an adjustable cheek riser for a proper cheek welld/scope alignment. Inletting is flawless. Drop in and go.

Very worthwhile.

It looks like you're digging that rifle... I have a Sporter in an LSS and I love it, lighter than the factory laminate sporter stock and lighter than a GRS i'm sure which is important if you hope to hunt with it.

Must be a bit better balanced with a slightly heavier stock? I've always found my T3 Varmints to be a little muzzle heavy with the factory plastic.
