Tilt test

Recieved my new n14b stripped and cleaned it. Did the tilt test for the oprod and when it slides down the oprod pops out of the channel. Should I be worried? Also rear sight is loose and handguard is crooked big gap on rear of right side and tight at front, left side is tight up front and sinks below the stock at the rear, and the oprod also rubs against the stock. I thought the vender was supposed to address the cc on theese new ones.

which vendor are you referring to?

As for what you describe, it is probably a barrel alignement issue causing the oprod to not run back straight.

Hi Claven2. Vender is marstar. The barrel seems to be slightly over tightend as the front sight is to the right and the gas cylinder is misaligned to the oprod. Had higher expectations after the yearlong wait.

Would it be unrealistic to expect a quick visual inspection / quick function (non-firing) test before shipping? I realize they sell a lot of firearms however when the firearm is one that has a couple of known issues (barrel index / gas alignment) why not try to prevent it at at retailer?

Not bashing Marstar or Norks.. as I have two of my own. Just thinking out loud....

It would not be easy as they'd have to unpack, clean, and inspect every rifle before it ships out. It would add significantly to the cost. Remember, they have to repack whatever they'd unpack.
