I took the .338 Timberwolf out on the weekend and gathered some data off the crony. I am going to repeat this weekend with 5 shot averages, this is a one shot reading so take it for what its worth. I will post this/next weekends data when I get it.

If you have any similar data please share!

92.5gr ~ 2864
93gr ~ 2884

94gr ~ 2894
94.5gr ~ 2929
95gr ~ 2920
95.5gr ~ 2920

Over pressure signs starting around 98.5gr, not major but ejector rods leaving imprints on brass and primer is pushing back slightly.

My friend is 30XX with his as well.

How far did you shoot? Pull off a ladder test or anything with your rounds? If so take a pic of the target.

I would be interested to know your barrel length and also your elevation.

Any chance you could post a photo of the 99gr spent brass ?

I can re-do it, I have re-sized and cleaned so its best to repeat. I will load us some tomorrow and hit the range on the weekend, I will post soon.

I may pull back from the lands, I am shooting 3.681" now DC and I shoot and he is getting better results @ 3.61ish.

I love your target designs!

thanks for the insight!

Oh Barrel length is 26"

I will get exact elevation next time i shoot, I live in SW ontario so its low, i think arround 1000'

The seating depth of 3.610" allows you to use the magazine. You could get more accuracy seating closer to the lands even on the lands maybe .005" into the lands but 3.681" is really long and I found that you are over engaging the lands or even seating the bullet further down to close the bolt. When I look at the bullet I can see the rifling marks big time! This is the published length/COL on the Lapua site

I am going to get an average of 5 rounds for MV this weekend, I have spent the day making steel gongs and reloading so I will be good to go depending on the weather.

Rsp1761 sounds like he knows a thing or two about this gun
I’ll take his advice for sure!
