Time for a new stock (what one)

Iam stealing the UBR off my XCR for and ar build. I will need a replacement and am looking for opinions. I liked the UBR but it's better suited to the AR I am building and I don't want to buy a second one $$$.

The XCR is used mostly as a hunting rifle and is shot free hand or from a rest in standing and sitting positions. I have very little experience or knowledge what is out there for AR stocks and what is suited for the above style of shooting. I did like how the UBR weight balanced the heavy barrel compared to the factory stock.

A few that have peeked my interest based on looks (never handled)
Magpul ACS
Magpu MOE (the new rifle one)
Vltor EMOD
A2

Thoughts on what might be best or worth looking at???? Also open to other options as I barely scratched the surface for AR stock options Iam sure.

Thanks

Jason

Not interested in the Robinson Arms FAST stock???
Looks great, fully adjustable (and it folds,) all aluminum construction so it'd probably have the same balancing effect as the UBR.

Not really based on looks. If enough people told me it was the best option for that style of shooting I would reconsider. However if I was going to spend that much money I would just buy the UBR as it's on sale a few placed for 250 right now The others listed above are over $100 less than the Fast stock. But I appreciate the post.

Thanks

I'd stick with the UBR. The other stocks are all noticeably lighter, so you're going to notice a pretty big difference in terms of the weight balance. Also, by the time you add the associated extension tube/hardware you'll be pushing $200 anyway. If it absolutely has to be something else I'd consider either an ACS or SOPMOD.

anybody else have an opinion on what stock is better for hunting scenarios from rests and a slow rate of fire. Not CQB or fast paced blasting.

If you're a tall fella and/or don't wear body armor, there's really nothing wrong with the A2 stock. I prefer it on my 20" stock. The only reason I don't have one on my shorter barreled AR15s is because of vanity.

If I had to pick from your list to put on a carbine, I'd probably go with the ACS.
