Time to buy my first hunting rifle

Also keep in mind that if the rifle feels good and is close to a good fit then the rest can be dealt with by any competent gunsmith. There are a couple in the lower mainland. I am currently having two rifles made to fit me by Bits of
Pieces out in Langley. Barry is an excellent gunsmith and the work says it all. He is cautious and his work is good as well as being honest. If there is a cheaper way to fix your problem you will know about it. Likely any of us on this thread would be happy to let you shoot some of our toys if it would help you and most of us belong to ranges as well so dont be shy. It is a treat to have female shooters at the range. I will be bringing my wife out to shoot too.
Nice to have the company as well. Good luck in your quest and dont be afraid to ask questions. You will see a pattern in the answers after a while to guide your choice. Besides, likely most of it is good anyways so hard to screw it up.

a tikka in 7-o8 would be the cats ass but i would go for synthetic only because i can be to clumsy for wood
