Time to call yotes

The whitetails are dropping their fawns. I've seen two. This is when I have the most success calling coyotes.

Do you use the sounds of fawns when calling?

I have more success this time of year too. It's rare that I call a coyote in the winter months so we run them with hounds mostly. They have puppies to feed and fawns are easy prey.

I find I call in more does with fawn distress this time of the year than anything. Any coyote in ear shot will come running though.

I use an electric fawn distress or a Primos Bear Buster mouth call.

I'm thinking it's time for me to try coyote hunting as well. A buddy was out turkey hunting and a coyote ran by with a fawn in it's mouth. Outta 12g range though!
