Just don't try to sell me a fiesta at BMW prices and expect me to believe there are "good reasons" for doing so.

There is only one good reason for doing so: because people will pay it. That's the only reason that a retailer needs.

I won't buy one either...but only because I have a non-restricted Beretta Storm. The retailer doesn't need me, or you, or any one individual. All he needs is enough buyers to allow him to show a profit with which he is happy. And in this case, I don't think that there will be any shortage of people lining up to pay for these guns...but time will tell.

I've been searching... but maybe all you experts could help me:

I want a pistol caliber carbine that's non restricted and can take glock or beretta mags. It would also be nice if I could get rails for it.

What's the cheapest one out there? (This question is for the haters)

There are people out there stupid enough to pay $28,000 for a piece of toast depicting a dead mythological figure, so paying double the price for a relatively cool gun is a no brainer, I'm sure.

Paying 28G for a piece of toast isn't stupid if you are fairly certain that you can find someone to pay you even more so that you earn a profit...or if owning that piece of toast gives you $28000 worth of pleasure.

Either way, the buyer is happy, and the seller is verrrrry happy. That's the best kind of transaction...much more satisfying than making bitter insults on the internet to people who value their own ideas more than yours.:)

"or if owning that piece of toast gives you $28000 worth of pleasure."

If you get $28,000 worth of pleasure from owning a piece of toast you are delusional and should seek help before purchasing a $43,000 empty coffee cup, or something equally as stupid.

Bitter insults? Who was insulting? If anything I was insulting the product.

how can you insult the product when you have no experience with it though? i know they "feel cheap" but they are supposedly reliable with all types of ammo, and are quite accurate. ive heard of 8' steel plates being hit at 150 yards with these things. plus it would be a handy truck rifle since it folds. see acoyote come out from behind a bale, grab the gun from the truck, flip it open and fire. thats what I like about it.

Keep in mind, that you can list multiple items on the export permit application. Exporting 50 rifles would only cost a few bucks more than exporting one (difference being 3% of total value). When you export dozens/hundreds of rifles, the permit cost is negligible.
Dealer cost in the US for the basic Sub 2000 is less than $250. How much more do you think Kel-Tec charges for a 2.5" longer barrel on a $250 gun? 10$? 20$? ...
Im willing to bet that the landed cost of these (after all the permit costs, shipping, brokerage, etc)in Canada is no more than $350.

I'm also looking at the price of the used, restricted Beretta Storms :yingyang: , and cannot seem to find ones on the E&E for much under $800......

I just sold mine for $950.00 but it had accessories. I sold it for the Kel Tec Sub as I am #2 on the list with Glock mags. If I don't like it I will sell it and get a storm in a larger caliber of .40 cal, I had the 9mm and loved it!! If I love the Kel Tec and will get another in .40 or .45 if that comes out next year. I have handguns with the same mags so it cuts my accessory costs in half or less.

The shipment is in Canada. We are awaiting for the shipment to clear customs. Kel-Tec filled out some paper work incorrectly, which cost us a couple of days. We should have the shipment in our warehouse by mid week I hope. We will have more information on our website very soon here. We will be launching our forum featuring the Kel-Tec users section very soon.
