Since I joined CGN, seems like there are many Para haters out there for their own reasons. Anyway, ran across this on their site and I must admit Para has some fine looking new 1911s. And I caught this video... it got my ears perky. I'm liking the look of the Elite series.

Actually... their Black Ops Tactical series are sweet too! Single or Double stack .45

I love my Para 1911 Stainless .45acp

I've had my P14-45 Limited for 12 years. I love it and it works flawlessly with my loads. 200 gr. RNFP lead cast bullets with 5.7 grains of W231. I'm out of W231 now so I'm working on a WST load. Made in Canada.

These new Paras are no longer made in Canada. I'm not sure what they offer beyond funky finishes and aesthetic touches, to each their own.

Apparently the Tactical series are stainless frame and slides with nitron coating or something. MSRP on their site seems comparable to Sig pricing. Let see if they can supply Canada with enuff units in decent time.

....and if their slide stop notches resist peening, their finish doesn't wear in the box, their rails are at least square, if not in spec, the sights are the correct height and properly regulated, they feed ball ammo.........

The only way I will look at Para is in my rear view while driving away. Kinda like anything with NEA stamped on it

Also, buy a Para if you like Wedgies (coined after their "customer service" manager because of the lame excuses he made to me about the Para SSP I owned). I learned very quickly what is normal and what is Para-normal when I contacted him about my SSP shooting low out of the box and the slide peening after a couple hundred rounds. IMHO,there are better 1911's available for the same or less money. I replaced my SSP with a Dan Wesson PM7 which was $100 more then the SSP and will never consider a Para product again! Yes, I guess was a disgruntled Para owner. This was a few years ago and my SSP was Made in Canada. They may have gotten their crap together by now or maybe not.....your money, your choice. The question is: Are you a gambling man?

YMMV.....
